Switched Off

It’s quite unthinkable that two years had passed since my last post. How time flies indeed! Much had happened since then, although nothing significant. Well, maybe a few things of note. One would be that I received my Associates degree in Nursing in December of 2011.

Of Mouse And Melody

Months ago now, in my Facebook account, I recorded a dream I had in the Notes app there. It went as follows:

Blogger to Facebook ... Come In Facebook

It took maybe almost 2 hours to figure out how this RSS feeder works between Blogger and Facebook. The outcome is not really what I hoped for since the blog entries would appear to the Facebook user as plain Notes entries. Yet, they're not. It's simply how Facebook syndicates (not sure whether I'm using the term correctly) them. But it will do for now; I'm contented. In disbelief?

Touches

For the past hour or maybe two, I have been tweaking the look of this blog. I didn't get to do what I truly wanted, that is, a complete overhaul of the site. I was deceiving myself however since this would demand further knowledge in scripting, more fluency particularly in CSS and HTML, or others of the like.

Economical Way of Looking at Textbooks — Or Any Other Book, I'm Not Prejudice

Plan not to resell. You'll get less money anyway. So personalize your book, make it truly your own! Highlighters can be used systematically to facilitate learning. But of more importance than these is the mighty pen. Yes, the pen is also mightier than the highlighter! How so?

Volunteering

Considering so much about doing volunteer work at a hospital. Daunted of the plight which many new graduates are experiencing right now related to finding a job. For the most part, the reports have not been too encouraging.
What must I do?

I Call It: Continuing Ed.

I start summer school tomorrow. Saying that sounds pretty funny, especially at this point in life. But it's something that must be done to fulfill nursing program graduation requirements. And so, Sociology class here I come! Of course I would also be dedicating ample time to the study of the art and science of Nursing.

Goal for tomorrow: Not to fall asleep during the 3-hour class.
